About

Traveler – Historian – Foodie

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my reflective travel blog. My name is Claire Kilcommons and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you!

You could say travel and history were in my blood from the moment I was born. Both my parents have always loved to visit historic sites. To have gone to Gettysburg before I was even baptized says a lot. History and travel are what fuel my purpose. Well, and of course some good food.

A straight line was not taken to get to this point. Because the line I drew, and the one many people assumed for me, has meandered far off course. And I am so thankful for that.

So, here are some “fun” facts about me:

I hate heights. But, I love to fly and do not mind turbulence.

I have an aversion to apples. Liquid form only, please.

I run on coffee and anything with lemon. Don’t take this as having a deeper meaning like me being bitter or sour…

Green-eyed, colorblind female. So, very unique when it comes to statistics with that one.

Avid sports fan. I’m not sure if I’m fueled more by rooting against teams than I am rooting for my own…the jury is still out on that one.

First solo trip at age 16. Went across the country to visit friends in Washington state.

My camera roll is stocked with almost the same amount of architectural photos…
